EMAIL PREFERENCES CONFIGURATION Question: I get an error message saying that my browser is not configured properly when I try to send an email to a listed member. How do I setup the email preferences in my web browser?
Answer: Your internet provider will supply you with the proper settings for sending and receiving email from your browser. If you do not have these settings please contact your ISP for the information. Note: your reply-to address can be any email address such as a free web based email address--Juno or Hotmail. However, you will still need to get the outgoing SMTP configuration (i.e.: mail your internet provider.com) to send mail through your ISP. Again, if you do not have this information please contact your ISP.
Question: My browser pauses when I try to send an email and then returns an error saying that my outgoing mail server is not valid.
Answer: To send an email message it is critical that your outgoing SMTP setting is correct. If you believe your SMTP settings are correct but your browser still does not send a message please contact your ISP to verify your username and outgoing mail settings.
Question: I get an error every time I try to reply to an email in the database.
Answer: Your web browser must be configured with your correct SMTP mail server and a valid return email address.
CHANGING YOUR PERSONAL AD PROFILE Question: I am a Member and I cannot change my profile information.
Answer: Resubmit with a replacement Ad and we will overwrite your previous Ad, provided you use the same name and email address. Use the Free Membership Form and send an e-mail with your Member ID# and password, requesting the ad be changed or deleted from our site.
