Garden Rails and Streams
Start or Expand Your Garden Railway Without Breaking Your Back or Cramping Your Brain!
So, you’ve been thinking more and more about taking the plunge and actually starting that exciting new garden railway.
Maybe you’ve been reading Garden Railways magazine, or similar for a while now. You’ve read all about the road bed, the trestles, the track, the plants and so on.
You’re ready to get out the tools and get started. All you lack is confidence. Now what?
Or, maybe you already have a nice, basic layout. You’ve decided to add a water feature. You need a lake and a mountain stream for your planned fishing village.
Perhaps you want to add a mountain and some tunnels and perhaps a bridge or two. You did all your initial work and it worked out... eventually. But, you remember all the back-breaking labor and all the uncertainty. Still, you need to expand. So, what is the best course of action?
In either case, the answer is to engage the assistance of a qualified professional to share the burden.
Waterwood Gardens is an eighteen year veteran landscape contractor. For more than five years we’ve specialized in designing and installing beautiful, custom, low-maintenance, natural water features.

| [2-above] | Here you see a G scale train emerging from a tunnel, just part of this water garden railway built around an 11 ft. x 16 ft. Aquascape Ecosystem pond with 2 waterfalls and upper streams. The G in G scale means garden, as introduced by the Lehmann Toy Company of Germany over 30 years ago. Despite the gauge, anything labeled G scale is compatible. The basic requirement of most G scale trains is a minimum radius of two feet, and hills less than 4% grade.
When planning your Garden Railroad, let your imagination and intuition become the keys to creating your successful illusion and don't get hung up on the scale. PONDSbyDESIGN.com

Get ready for an amazing visual transformation! Whether you are just beginning to plan your Water Garden Railroad or already have your feet wet, hands dirty and engineer's hat on, begin with making a list of changes, of all the things that you would like to see and would like your Water Garden Railroad to be. Take a look around your yard at what exists. Let your imagination go and try to visualize the combination of what exists with your list of what you would ultimately like to see. Theme ideas: The Old West Victorian Era The 1940s, 1950s, or your favorite decade Industrial Community City Farm
The list goes on, as the imagination flows.
