IntelliPAY, Inc. was founded in January of 1995. The original purpose of the company was to provide alternative non-cash transactions services to the merchant community. The first product introduced by IntelliPAY was the IntelliPAY Phone Check product and ChecksOnLine software.

In 1996, the officers of IntelliPAY began exploring payment options on the Internet.
