Quotes from James Allen:

The soul attracts that which it secretly harbors, that which it loves, and also that which it fears.

Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit.

Circumstance does not make the man; it reveals him to himself.

Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are.

Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves.

Even the man whose sole object is to acquire wealth must be prepared to make great personal sacrifices before he can accomplish his object.

Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results; bad thoughts and actions an never produce good results.

A man cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts.

BEN FRANKLIN QUOTES

The general foible of mankind is in the pursuit of wealth to no end.

When truth has fair play, it will always prevail over falsehood.

The good men may do separately, is small compared with what they may do collectively.

Industry pays Debts, Despair encreases them.

Speak with contempt of none, from slave to king/The meanset Bee hath, and will use, a sting.

None but the well-bred man knows how to confess a fault, or acknowledge himself in an error.

Declaiming against Pride, is not always a Sign of Humility.

Neglect kills Injuries, Revenge increases them.

Keep thy shop, and thy shop will keep thee.

Little Strokes, Fell great Oaks.

Who is rich? He that rejoices in his Portion.

Observe all men; thyself most.

Speak and speed: the close mouth catches no flies.

Haste makes Waste.

The most exquisite Folly is made of Wisdom spun too fine.

As Pride increases, Fortune declines.

Fear not death, for the sooner we die, the longer shall we be immortal.

There are lazy minds as well as lazy bodies.

When you speak to a man, look on his eyes; when he speaks to thee, look on his mouth.

If you desire many things, many things will seem but a few.

HUMILITY

Humbly submitting our will to the Father brings us the empowerment of God— the power of humility. ~ Richard C. Edgley

Perhaps the most sacred words in all the scriptures are simply, “not my will, but thine, be done.”
~ Richard C. Edgley

JOY
Joy comes through righteous living. It is not a casual or shallow feeling, ever. Joy is not a stranger to pain. We may not feel deeply enough to know joy unless our hearts have been hollowed out by sorrow. A heart may not be big enough to know real joy until it has been stretched and pulled by trials and hard things.

[Joy] is about changing lives, one at a time. The great thieves of joy are envy and pride. Comparing [ourselves to others] is measuring, and it destroys joy. [Those who] are too focused on the work to dwell on their own imperfections; . . .their strengths come to the fore.

Joy is about overcoming. The smallest improvement brings courage. . .keep trying. [Learn] to forgive each other and work through problems because. . . hard feelings drive the Spirit away.

Joy is in Jesus Christ. He chose to accomplish the Atonement so we could eventually experience a fulness of joy. His gift. . . is not freedom from hard work or sorrow or stretching but the surety that every ounce of effort in His name is an investment in joy.”
~Barbara Workman

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
~Proverbs 6:6~

Quotes from Jim Rohn:

The soil says, “Don’t bring me your need. Bring me your seed.”

Life responds to deserve and not to need.

The few who do are the envy of the many who only watch.

You must learn to translate wisdom and strong feelings into labor.

You must get good at one of two things: planting in the spring or begging in the fall.

Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person we become.

Part of success is preparation on purpose.

Success is not so much what we have as it is what we are.

How do you deserve a fortune? Render fortunes of service.
