Sounder is a story of a boy and a dog of a mixture between Georgia redbone hound and bulldog. When the boy's father is arrested, the dog is shot, but survives. The story was made into a movie starring Cicely Tyson, Paul Winfield, and Kevin Hooks. There is a center section of pictures from the movie.
This paperback was published by Harrow Books, 1972. Though there are some dents and rubbed marks in the cover, and slight wear to the corners, it is in very good condition. 116 pages.
