Peter Max Magazine No. 1 _____ Peter-Lee Inc., New York, 1970. _____ This was the first issue of the Peter Max Magazine. Subjects covered include Inner and Outer Space, Infinity and Eternity, Mind and Body and soul, Games and Laughter, Peace and Love and Joy, Astrology and Karma, The Artists View, and Ancient Wisdom. There is an article on the artist's life, and a comic strip with characters similar to Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Olive Oyl, and others. The ad on the back advertises Swiss Mixed Cereal with a Peter Max design on the box. One section is on the Zodiac, another on exercise, and one has recipes for things like Kasha Croquettes, Cous-cous, and Oopma. There are pictures, red on tan, of the Peter Max exibit at the M. H De Young Museum in San Francisco. There is even a picture of an x-ray of Peter Max's skull, and a Thermogram of his face. _____ The magazine has some glossy and some pulp pages of different hues, 9 x 12 inches, 74 pages. There are creases to the upper right corner of the cover, and a 2 inch tear in page 33-34, hardly visible in the recipe page scan.
