Farm House Cooking (Mennonite)
This Mennonite Cookbook has over 1700 recipes from across Canada and many states in the U.S. It has a very interesting Ethnic/International section including dishes from Mexico, the Orient, India, Russian Mennonite, Switzerland, Belize, Honduras, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Africa, Arabia, Italy, Britian, the Ukraine, Iceland and Eastern Europe. Sample recipe:
Chicken and Poppy Seeds
4 chicken breasts, cooked1 cup sour cream1 can cream of mushroom soup1 stick margarine1 stack Ritz crackers, crushed1 T. poppy seeds
Cut breasts into serving sized pieces and place in flat baking dish.
Combine sour cream and soup.
Spread over chicken.
Melt margarine, add crackers and poppy seeds.
Spread over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
