Humorous Reading - Giuseppe On Golf
Humorous Reading
by C.A. Moreno
An older Italian gentleman, with a heavy Italian accent, tells about his first experience with the game of golf. "Thees game a da golf, it getta my goat! My seester's little boy, Alfredo, notta yetta seexteen, hava work as a cadda on a thee public leenks two, maybe three year. . ." Guiseppe decides to go and teach Alfredo a lesson in humility, since Alfredo is always bragging about how good he is at golf. So they go to the golf course. "Then, littla Alfredo, he fixa da sanda pile for me, an' hands to me hees club, an' he say, 'See can you driva heem so far as me.' I hava to laugh to myself. Alfredo, littla skeeny fella, arms lika da tooth pick; but me, I beega man, beega da chest, beega da leg, beega da arm, plenty da muscle; I know I can hit theesa ball a mile an' LOSE heem for little Alfredo." Poor Giuseppe almost goes crazy just trying to hit the ball with the club, while Alfredo sits and laughs. Guiseppe has some choice words for the ball and Alfredo, and finally, decides he has had enough. This reading is really hilarious when done by the right person. Two male characters. Thick Italian accent throughout.
