Declamation/Patriotic Reading

This piece asks the question, "What made America the greatest nation on earth? How did it become so great in such a short amount of time?" The conclusion is found as the reading traces the credentials, the bravery, and the sacrifices made by the founding fathers. It lists statistics of what the founding fathers endured and how they met their deaths. They lost sons, wives, houses, lands and fortunes. Many of them willingly paid the ultimate price for freedom. It is rousing, stirring and extremely poignant. This reading should make every American weep with pride.
