The poem begins, "That is all it is -- just a piece of cloth. But when a little breeze comes along .... it stirs and comes to life ...And then you realize that no other piece of cloth could be like it!" It goes on to describe the flag, and the feeling it should give every red-blooded American. It also explains why we should feel that way, about that special "piece of cloth."
