The story of a girl named Dorothy who had a very annoying quirk. She always tried to finish people's sentences before they were done speaking. It drove away every guy who was ever interested in the pretty girl, until she met Charlie Deshler. He had traveled widely, and was full of interesting and unique stories, to which Dorothy could not guess the endings to, and so she was not able to complete his sentences. It was a perfect match ...they thought. But after years of marriage, Dorothy memorizes all of his stories, and the poor guy can't get a word in edgewise! But he is smart, and figures out that if he talks about his dreams, she can't guess what he is going to say, and so he begins to live in a "dream world." Until, he starts losing his mind and repeating his dreams! Then, she memorizes them too! At the end, the author goes to visit Charlie in the mental ward of a hospital, and guess who is there?- faithful Dorothy, with her quirk alive and well! Very funny! To be performed by a guy who is naturally funny and enjoys doing characterizations.
