Poetry - He Run Away

Poetry - Religious
Author Unknown

While "walking in Savannah" the author comes upon an old Negro church holding a funeral service. He slips inside to listen, and the preacher is explaining to the grieving parents of a little boy, that..."He didn't give you dat baby by a hundred thousand miles. Why, he just think you need some sunshine, so He lent him for awhile." Down to earth wording, and heavenly logic make this poem a treasure!
