THE PORK FARM NEWSLETTER & STORYBOOK

We are gonna do our best to update this page at least once a month unless something comes up that we really want to tell ya.

Last week, the lady across the way asked if she could park her car at our place as the guys were doing some work over there and she didn't want her BRAND NEW, SILVER, VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE dirty or mussed up.

I of course told her it was OK by me. What I didn't tell her was, I have a secret passion for the little critters.

Ever since my Aunt Charlie and Uncle Barb (this is not a typo, that's what we called them.) came to visit us when I was 8 years old, I've wanted one. When they pulled up in that thing I couldn't believe it. It sounded like a roller skate and it looked like it was gonna have a baby.

After going for a ride and Aunt Charlie telling us kids that if we went off the bridge, it would be OK 'cause the darned thing could float, I thought it was a thing of wonder.

I've owned three of them so far. The first was a car of many colors. (Kinda like Joseph's coat.) Doors, hood, trunk and fenders all different. I paid $85.00 for that baby and I loved her. I called her Daisy May.

Well, those days are long gone but you can bet, when the new ones go on sale as used cars, I'll be there!
