CURCUMIN 95 is an 18:1 concentrate of the antioxidants found in the spice turmeric root. The result is a 95% concentrate of turmeric antioxidants known as curcuminoids including curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin.

Turmeric is Latin for Curcuma longa, a member of the Zingiberaceae Family. Turmeric is an herb from the ginger family that grows up to one meter in height.

The oils found in turmeric extracts have the ability to reduce excess gases in the stomach and intestines. Cineol, camphor and linalool are also found in the turmeric extracts and they have antispasmodic properties (this would explain the common Asian usage of turmeric powder for stomach aches). The roots of the plant are stemlike and are used as an herb in Asian cooking such as curries.

The practice of using curcumin for antiviral effects has been common knowledge for centuries. New scientific information is validating the anti-properties of curcumin. Also, curcumin was effective in inhibiting the replication of HIV in both acutely infected and chronically infected cells.

Each 500 mg Curcumin 95 capsule contains the following Curcuminoids:

Curcumin 380 mg
Demethoxycurcumin 90 mg
Bisdemethoxycurcumin 15 mg
Other turmeric substances 15 mg

Other ingredients: cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.

Capsule consists of gelatin. Contains no common allergen.
