Getting Started Online

WHY DOES MY BUSINESS NEED A WEB SITE?
If you're starting an online business, the answer is obvious. But if you already have a successful business, why do you need a web site?

Not long ago a web site was something that was nice for a business to have, a little something extra. Now it's almost expected.

Look through the Yellow Pages, or check out the ads in the newspaper. It becomes very obvious which businesses do, or do not have a web site.  If a business does have a web site today's savvy e-commerce consumer will probably visit that site to find out who that company is, and what they have to offer before they buy. If they like what they see, the chances are that company will have an advantage over yours.

Increase Revenues
If you are selling a product, you are not limited by geographic boundaries. You have the potential of increasing your customer base, and your revenues without proportionally increasing your costs. A web site is also a great way to introduce new products or services, or introduce a innovative idea to a worldwide audience.

Improve Company Image
Even if you do not plan to sell online, a web site is a great way to give your company exposure and improve your company's image. This in turn should help to increase your off-line sales.

In your content pages, you are the one who is going to tell your customer who you are, what you offer, and the features and benefits of your products or services. And while creating and maintaining a website may not be free, because the information on a web site can easily be updated, information can be kept fresh and up-to-date.  This is more cost effective than pamphlets or other types of periodic advertising, which quickly become outdated.

Provide Customer Service
A website is also an excellent way to provide customer service to both existing and potential customers. Are there are certain things customers continually call to inquire about? Your location, your hours, information about your product, etc.? You can include this information in your web site, as part of your content pages, or you can have a separate FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.

You can allow your customers to contact you directly by providing them with an online form sent to your e-mail address. This allows them to ask questions, make comments, or express any concerns while they are still at you site.

Please contact us with any questions or comments.
