PUEBLO STYLE DRUM
Almost synonymous with American Indian music is the rawhide drum, and we offer the finest available today. These are genuine Taos Drums, made from wood native to Northern New Mexico (cottonwood, aspen or pine) and hand processed natural rawhide that is stretched and secured with rawhide lacing, an art passed down through generations. Sizes are approximate and a drumstick is included with each drum.
Traditional Pueblo drums are made from hollow log frames with the walls thinned down. They are sanded on the outside for a beautiful natural appearance. These traditional instruments of rhythm can also function as distinctive display pieces and furnishings.
