About Mrs. Van Horn

Mrs. Van Horn was born in San Diego, California in Grossmont Hospital on May 20, 1979.

She moved to Fallon, Nevada and graduated from Churchill County High School in 1997.

From there she attended Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) in Rexburg, ID on a scholarship from UPS and received her Associates degree in April 1999. Mrs. Van Horn then transfered to BYU in Provo, UT beginning in Fall of 1999.

That summer while working in Provo and anticipating the start of fall term, she met her husband Wade Van Horn, who was also a student at BYU. They dated and were engaged in November of 1999 and then married April 21, 2000.

Mrs. Van Horn graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in April 2001. She began teaching 4th grade at Alpine Elementary the following fall.

She is currently in her third year of teaching 4th grade at Alpine Elementary. She enjoys teaching and loves the 4th grade!

Mrs. Van Horn moved from Provo, UT to Salt Lake City, UT in the summer of 2002 because her husband Wade completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at BYU and accepted an offer to pursue his doctorate at the University of Utah.

The Van Horn's will spend the next 3-4 years in Salt Lake while Wade completes his graduate schooling in chemistry.

Mrs. Van Horn enjoys biking, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, racquetball, reading, stamping, cooking, and fly-fishing with her husband.
