WHAT CAN HAIR MINERAL ANALYSIS REVEAL?*

What is a Tissue Mineral Analysis? - Trace mineral analysis is a test which measures the mineral content, both in level and ratio, of your hair. Your hair is body tissue and reflects the content of all body tissues. If a mineral deficiency or excess reflects in the hair, it usually is an indicator of mineral deficiency or excess in the biological terrain (cellular level) of the body.

It also reflects minerals that are bio-unavailable (are not available for the body to use)at these levels; a sample being, if your hair reveals an elevated calcium level two to three times normal, then your calcium level within the body tissues may be elevated also. If this is the case, there are strong indicators that exist toward arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries due to calcium placques), cateracts, glaucoma, stone formation, joint pain, etc,

If your calcium level is low, then there are possible indicators toward osteoporosis (demineralization of bone), increased tendency to bone fractures, dental caries, periodontal disease, muscle cramps, etc.

Various mineral imbalances that are revealed in hair mineral analysis frequently lead to metabolic dysfunctions before any symptoms are manifested.

Additional Conditions That May Be The Result Of Mineral Imbalances Are:

  • Depression
  • Hypoglycemia
  • Hyperactivity
  • Headaches
  • Hypertension
  • Arthritis
  • Hair Loss
  • Anemia
  • Endocrine System Imbalances
  • Digestive Disturbance
  • Diabetes
  • Musculo-Skeletal Disorders
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Skin Rashes
  • Emotional Imbalances
  • Allergies

  • Why Test For Minerals? - Minerals are the "sparkplugs" of life. They are involved in almost all enzyme reactions within the body, and without them, life ceases to exist. A Hair Mineral Analysis is a preventative as well as being very useful as a screening tool. It allows for a correct nutritional program of diet and supplements to be designed for the specific needs of the individual. Never before has there been available a metabolic blueprint with such a degree of applicable scientific accuracy.>

Who Needs Hair Analysis? - Anyone who has health challenges with no explanation or when the cause seems to be found but the therapy is not wholly effective. Hair Mineral Analysis reveals a whole new window for resolving your particular problem by recognizing your biochemical constitution.

Even though you may not be experiencing a severe problem, abnormal changes in body chemistry and nutritional deficiencies may result in early, subtle changes in the biological terrain (cellular level) such as:
  • White spots in fingernails – can indicate a possible zinc deficiency.
  • Longitudinal ridging in nails – can indicate iron deficiency.
  • Brittle hair and nails – can indicate calcium and copper imbalance.
  • Deep grooves across nails – can indicate calcium deficiency.
  • Stretch marks – can indicate zinc deficiency.
  • Lack of growth – can indicate zinc deficiency.
  • Mood swings – can indicate possible toxic metal accumulation such as lead, mercury, or cadmium.

  • The above indicators are early signs of metabolic disturbances and may lead to serious problems if left unchecked.

Common Causes Of A Mineral Imbalance Can Be:

  • Improper diet – such as excessive intake of refined carbohydrates and sugars, strict vegetarian diets or other exclusive diets.
  • Taking vitamins and minerals which are not compatible with your current body chemistry.
  • Long-term or excessive ingestion of prescription drugs or over-the-counter symptom relieving products.
  • Unresolved stress issues.
  • Accumulations of toxic metals from our environment, job, or hobby.
  • Genetic or inherent mineral patterns from parents.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

  • Women’s premenstrual headaches can often be caused by too much copper in their system.
  • Arthritis pain can be caused by lead, cadmium or mercury poisoning.
  • Eating the wrong diet can contribute to conditions such as constipation, diverticulosis and even heart disease.
  • Taking too much of any one vitamin or mineral can be harmful.
  • Too much vitamin C has been known to actually make an infection worse in certain metabolic types.
  • Hair mineral analysis is one of the most effective means of determining exactly what vitamin and minerals you do need.
  • Adolescent acne can be caused by lead or copper poisoning as well as zinc deficiency.
  • Approximately 80% of our population lack the necessary enzymes and natural stomach acids to digest their food.
  • Hyperactive children often have too much lead in their systems.
  • Obesity is frequently caused by chronic blood sugar problems.
  • Mercury toxicity in the mother’s system can kill her unborn child.
  • Magnesium supplements may prevent brain damage of alcoholics.
  • The male prostate gland usually contains more zinc than any other organ in the body.
  • Diuretics often prescribed for patients with high blood pressure and heart trouble can decrease potassium supplies.
  • High blood pressure and strokes may be caused by too much sodium chloride (salt).
  • Many baby foods contain too much salt.
  • High levels of copper and iron in the body tissue can cause migraine headaches.
  • Adequate zinc intake helps to regulate blood sugar levels.
  • Lead toxicity can be linked to multiple sclerosis.
  • Zinc deficiency can retard bone development and has been known to produce malformed sex organs.
  • Doctors often diagnose heart attacks by the amount of the mineral manganese in the body.
  • Chromium, magnesium, manganese and B6 deficiency has been related to diabetes.
  • Vitamin C, the B complex, zinc and manganese are being used,in some cases, to treat schizophrenia.
  • Vitamin B2, folic acid, vitamin E, zinc and chromium can be important for users of birth control pills.
  • Magnesium deficiency can be related to epilepsy, leukemia, heart disease and kidney disorders.
  • As many as 250,000 women or more in the US at any given time may be suffering from iron deficiency anemia.
  • Beryllium, lead, cadmium, nickel and arsenic poisoning can cause cancer.
  • The mineral lithium is sometimes being used to alleviate some of the problems associated with manic depressive illness.
