ToolTip Foundry is a 32bit ActiveX DLL that creates ToolTips for controls on Lotus Dialogs. In other words, when the user moves the mouse pointer over a control with a ToolTip attached, a window with text you specify appears -- similar to the "bubble help" for SmartIcons.

It will work with Lotus Dialogs in any Lotus SmartSuite application but it doesn't support the lighweight controls that Lotus Approach uses on regular forms and reports.

Features:
- Create ToolTips for windowed controls such as those used in Lotus Dialogs and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Set the ToolTip background and text colours. Supports system colours, OLE_COLOR and Lotus RGB colours.
- Set the tip text and word wrap length.
- Add an optional title and icon.
- Bind the ToolTip to the control by specifying it's window handle. Once bound, Windows will
manage the ToolTip without the need for further code.
- Doesn't support lighweight controls like those in Lotus SmartSuite and Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:
- Windows 95, 98, ME, XP or 2000.
- Any development tool that uses windowed controls and supports an ActiveX interface.
- Comctl32.dll version 4.70 or later. W95 users need IE 4.0 or later for Comctl32.dll to be at the required level.

Support:
The author of this product, Paul Bent, passed away in April 2004, and the source code for this product has not yet been made available to XpertSS.com. At this time, there are currently no plans for new features or bug fixes. Support will be offered on a best-efforts basis by Sue Sloan and other users of the product by responding to questions posted on XpertSS.com in the XpertSS Product Support discussion area.
