Our History

Precision Systems Inc. was founded in 1964. In 1984 their Worldwide Headquarters was constructed on a ten-acre hilltop site in Natick, Massachusetts. The 47,000 square foot facility is complete in every way, housing Sales, Marketing, Administration, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Production, Assembly, Service, and Shipping & Receiving.

The company's intent at its founding was to improve on the exisitng models of freezing point instrumentation. Subsequently Precision Systems Inc. developed the first automated digital readout osmometers, the first micro multi-sample osmometers, and the first self-calibrating osmometers for 10 µl micro samples. In addition to its line of osmometers, Precision Systems Inc. manufactures milk cryoscopes, wide-range chemistry cryoscopes, and petroleum molecular weight cryoscopes.

More recently Precision Systems has developed a highly flexible computer controlled versatile Random Access Chemical Analyzer, the ANALETTE™. This analyzer is a fast, flexible open system, allowing the use of reagents from many different manufacturers. Commonly specified tests can be pre-programmed. Stat samples can be run at any time. Bar code use saves time and reduces sample identity errors, and can be used for assay and panel selections. The system has built in diagnostics. The software permits two analyzers to be run simultaneously, doubling throughput and increasing flexibility.
