ANALETTE™

Features

  • Processing speeds up to 300 tests per hour
  • Integrated reporting with full demographics
  • Integrated wand bar-code scheduling and patient identification.
  • 24-hour, 7 day per week standby electrolyte capability
  • Automatic daily maintenance
  • System Principle

Random access, bench-top open system with 24 wavelengths available for applications. Incorporates a concave holographic grating/diode array spectrophotometer with a spectral response from 340-740 nm. Wavelengths of 340, 380, 405, 440, 465, 475, 490, 500, 512, 525, 540, 550, 560, 575, 585, 600, 610, 630, 640, 650, 675, 685, 700, 740 nm are standard. Control of sample and reagent handing, assay and data processing is fully automatic through an IBM compatible 486 computer with keyboard and fourteen inch color display. Tests are processed at a rate of over 140 tests per hour with workload throughput rate of about 130 tests using Synermed reagents and applications. The system is open for the addition of tests which may be added through parameter settings entered through the keyboard.

    Reagent Storage

Reagents for up to 24 methods can be stored "on-board". Over 100 additional methods can be pre-programmed and selected through bar code or keyboard.

    Sample Presentation

There are four options for sample presentation:
    • Sample tray for 42 disposable cups
    • Sample tray for 42 seventy-five mm primary collection tubes
    • Sample tray for 72 micro cups
    • Stat samples can be added at any time

    Patient Identification and Workload Scheduling

    • Pre-printed barcode labels for sample tubes may be used or ma be generated through an optional printer using an optional utility installed on the system
    • Duplicate barcode labels or sequential numbers may be used to label sample tube and requsistion.
    • Each speciman may be identified by barcode wand reader or its number may be entered through the keyboard
    • Test selection by patient sample can be achieved by wand reading a barcoded test selection sheet. Profiles may be selected in the same way. Alternatively, the keyboard can be used with a test selection utility.
    • Fully documented final reports including test results, normal limits, patient name, physician, and identification number are printed in a format which can be selected and modified by the user.
    • Extensive archiving of results is provided using the system's hard disk.

    On-Line Quality Control

Graphing of results, trends, and Levy-Jennings plots using 60 day FIFO (First In First Out)method, are standard.

    Assoy Modes

Assay modes for end point, zero order kinetic, first order kinetic, and ummunochemical reactions are provided. Reagent volumes of as little as 180 µl and as high as 350 µl may be detected. Sample volumes from 2-150 µl may be selected.

    Calibration

Up to five calibrators may be used for immunochemical reactions. Factor colibration may also be used. Calibrator values and lot numbers are stored in system memory.

    Automatic Pre-Dilution for Immunoassay

Immunochemistry methods requiring pre-dilution of the sample are performed directly on serum by the automatic performance of a pre-dilution. The pre-dilution can be set for each method in the test porometers menu for each method. Thus, each method can have a unique pre-dilution.

    Built-in Diagnostics

    • The system monitors a variety of instruument operations and system performance can be monitored through the keyboard.
    • Reagent level sensing is automatic.
    • Serum level sensing is automatic.

    Walk-Away Operation

The system has a cuvette capacity of 140 cuvettes which are loaded as 10 cuvette segments. This provides for unattended operation of more than one hour.

    Immunochemistry Capability

Immunoproteins, therapeutic drugs, drigs of abuse and hormones can be assayed with the system.

    • Curve-fitting math for up to five standards is integral.
    • Automatic pre-dilution by method.
    • 180 µl miniimum read volume provides economy for immunochemistry reagent use.
    • Small volume reagent storage is provided.
    • Disposable cuvette avoids troublesome and expensive cross contamiination and consequent repeats or errors.

    System Integration

The addition of the PlusLyte with Autosampler enables processinf electrolytes with integrated sample management and report generation for Na+, K+, Cl-, Li+ and Bicarbonate.

    The Analette Offers Value

    • Highest testing rate per instrument cost.
    • Flexibility - Random, Stat, Batch, Special chemistry, Immunochemistry, Routine assay and Profile.
    • Simplicity - Computer familiarity is unnecessary. Limited keyboard interaction is required.
    • Economy - 180 µl minimum reagent volume.
