The original is a 8" x 10"clayboard piece (like the scratchboard paper many of us were introduced to in a standard public school art classes) but much sturdier, being backed on masonite. "Winging Away" was American artist Shannon Reinbold-Gee's first attempt at the scratchboard medium since an unfortunate "big-headed bunny" in fourth grade. Shannon was inspired by the stunning work of fantasy artist Stan Morrison while having the opportunity to work with him at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida.
