Custom made earrings using Diamonds, Pearls and Glacier blue topaz and the customers antique tortoise shell and gold earrings, a family heirloom.

The photo on the left is one of several ideas this customer presented to us.

The customer has a pair of  antique tortoise  shell earrings she would like to include in the design of her earrings.

Getting started.

 Once we have all of the stones in hand Carol starts this piece with a base of 18k white gold, cut out to fit the 8 marquise diamonds.

22kt gold balls are soldered onto the piece as per the customers original design

Here we measure it against the original "to scale" drawing from the customer.

Just to show the difference between the Glacier Blue Topaz and Blue Sapphires.

The customer chooses to stay with the original plan. Glacier Blue Topaz.

And here are the finished pictures without the shell.

both perfectly matching.

This is our current challenge as I described in the e-mail. I believe we have the solution, so stay tuned.

Carol decided to go ahead and take the chance and fix these earrings, here you can see she is removing that warn post and installing a new one.

The repair turned out better than we had hoped for!

Well, it has taken a lot of time and patience to put this piece together and here we are at the end...
