Lost Art Model 'Metropolis 33' Tube Amplifier
Hand made in America with new old stock Chicago Transformers! The body is made from Dupont Corian and is available in hundreds of colors and wonderful stone like textures, with accent metals of polished brass and aluminum. The amplifier is self biasing and designed to take a variety of output and driver tubes without the necessity to continually set bias.
This design, called “Metropolis” is willfully Art Deco, simple and elegant! But more importantly is its musical voice. These amplifiers are all hand wired with Teflon coated silver signal wire, no printed circuit boards. The tube sockets are high quality white porcelain with a polished brass stands with gold contacts, hard mounted to a solid metal top plate. The back connector panel was designed for quick and easy installation and disconnect. The RCA input connector is available in either gold or silver rodium. The speaker terminals are low profile standard banana type binding posts (three colors for the 4, 8 and 16 ohm taps). The three conductor AC inlet jack can accept a variety of high quality AC power cords.
