HOW TO GET HIRED
Utah is fortunate to have a wide selection of fitness centers and gyms. With new gyms springing up all the time, gym owners are in dire need of high-quality professionally certified fitness instructors. Most of the established gyms will also be looking to hire new instructors. ALL of these fitness centers will need substitutes.If you do not wish to teach full-time because of school, another job, or other commitments, you can always request to be placed on a gym's substitute list. Gyms will want you to be a substitute intially during an evaluation period. Below is a great list of Utah County gyms.

Golds Gym
Golds offers more gyms than any other company in this area. Golds has an extensive list of aerobics and fitness related classes. Although a popular gym to work at, Golds typically has a number of opportunities depending on the location (or sign up on the sub list).

24 Hour Fitness
24 Hour Fitness already has solidified itself as one of Utah's premier fitness providers. 24 Hour fitness is nearing the end of a major construction project to build one of the largest gyms in Utah. This is sure to be a great opportunity for any aerobic instructor!

LEARNING AND TEACHING AEROBICS ROUTINES
An aerobics routine is essentially the class curriculum. It usually consists of a 5-10 minute warm-up, followed by a 20-40 minute cardiovascular session, 5-15 minutes of strength training, and ends with a 5-7 minute cool-down.Sound hard? It's not. Just sign up for one of the aerobic instructor certification sessions and we'll teach you everything you need to know to formulate high impact work-outs for your students.
