Von Asgard K-9 Center is a custom all-breed dog boarding and training facility located an hour south of Tampa, FL . . . just inland of the Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida metropolitian area (USA).

DIRECTIONS: Please call 941-322-0705 to make an appointment before you come. We are about 17 minutes east of I-75 on State Road 70. The easy way to locate Von Asgard K-9 Center, when you exit I-75 at Exit #217 EAST (old exit #41), is to note the odometer mileage and add 18 miles to that figure. Then leisurely drive EAST on State Road 70 until you reach that 18 mile mark. Then look down the road on the left hand (north) side for two large 3' x 5', red and white flags . . .
. . . one flying on each side of our 24 foot wide entrance gates. The red and white flags are visible over 300 yards before you reach our drive. The actual address is: 35571 State Road 70 East. Remember to please call 941-322-0705 in advance for an appointment.

Von Asgard K-9 Center - A 'DUDE RANCH' For Your Dog!
Our exclusive 'DUDE RANCH' boarding costs no more than others, however, the boarding experience at Von Asgard K-9 Center is like no other. We are a small, custom kennel boarding less than 45 dogs in a beautiful park-like setting. All of our kennels are 'super-sized', not the typical 2 foot and 3 foot wide runs that one might expect. Our kennels are 10 foot x 10 foot square, 8 foot x 8 foot square or 10 foot x 5 foot . . . and all medium to extra-large dogs regardless of size enjoy these 'super-size' quarters during the daytime.

In the evening and all night, boarding dogs enjoy a spacious quarters in our air-conditioned & heated kennel building.

'COWBOY' - OUR STANDARD HIGH-ACTIVITY LEVEL BOARDING PROGRAM:
FOR (SOME) SMALL DOGS AND THE MEDIUM, & LARGE DOGS . . .
The standard 'DUDE RANCH' boarding program is our unique 'COWBOY' high-activity service. In our 'COWBOY' boarding service for (some small), meduim, large, and extra large dogs . . . each individual dog receives a 15 to 20 minute, free-running, supervised play session each day. The individual supervised play session is scheduled - depending on the weather - in the morning, afternoon, or in the evening under the lights of our large, enclosed training field. In addition to the one-on-one, free-running play session, each dog is taken out for three interesting on-leash walks each day . . . not some puny 50 foot walk, but three varying walks - morning, afternoon, and evening - of well over 100 yards around our protected ponds and through our wooded, park-like facility! We limit the number of medium, and large dogs that we board to approxmately 35 dogs so that we can provide this unmatchable standard boarding service.
To facilitate the 'good times' during your dog's free-running, daily play session . . . we have two large, clean, protected swimming ponds for water-loving dogs. We have three double-fenced 'Wild Country' 5 acre areas for big dogs that like to run, hunt, and chase squirrels. We have smaller areas for small and medium-sized dogs that just want to follow butterflies and chase lizzards. There are trails through heavy oak trees where your dog can explore. Of course, all these areas are securely fenced. In the evening, your dog can enjoy chasing 'flying saucers' or tennis balls under the stadium lights on our enclosed football-sized training field.

'COWBOY' STANDARD, HIGH ACTIVITY PROGRAM IS MODIFIED FOR SOME SMALL DOGS . . .
In most cases, for small dogs (dogs under 34 pounds) enjoying the standard high activity 'COWBOY' Dude Ranch program, the experience is modified to suit their unique requirements. First, approxmately 10 small dogs are all that we board at one time. These small dogs enjoy the air conditioning all day in our main building. Each small dog is walked on-leash outside in our park-like setting every two hours throughout the day and evening . . . and then, each time, enjoys a 'play session' in our indoor 14' x 14' air conditioned small dog play room.
This is the small (34 pounds or less) dog sleeping area in our main building. The front of the main building contains our boarding office, the small dog sleeping area, the small dog indoor play room and the back half of this building is the residence of the owner . . . so someone is with your dog all day and just steps away all night.
As part of our 'COWBOY' high activity boarding experience, all small dogs enjoy a 15 minute, supervised play sessions in our air conditioned 14 foot x 14 foot 'play room'. . . after each 15 minute on-leash walk every two hours throughout the day. Often in the evening, we bring small dogs into our living quarters to let them play and watch TV with us and enjoy the 'family life' that they are accustomed to.
Our indoor air conditioned small dog play area is cosy, clean and always supervised.
The on-leash walks through our park-like setting every two hours all day long with the accompaning, in-door, supervised 'play sessions' throughout the day and the 'home-like' evening atmosphere . . . makes small dog 'COWBOY' high activity boarding an experience second to none!
'COWBOY' - STANDARD HIGH ACTIVITY PROGRAM BOARDING FEES:
We stay a small, custom kennel so we can continue to provide our standard 'COWBOY' high activity boarding program with its features unique to Von Asgard K-9 Center's 'DUDE RANCH' boarding experience.
Our 'COWBOY' standard 'DUDE RANCH' High-Activity Boarding is very affordable. The fee for small dogs (under 34 pounds) is . . . a very competitive $20/night. The fee for medium dogs (35 pounds to 69 pounds) is . . . very friendly at $27/night. The fee for large dogs (70 pounds or more) is . . . very competitive at $34/night.

'TRAIL HAND' - LONGER TERM - HIGH-ACTIVITY BOARDING DISCOUNT FEES FOR SMALL, MEDIUM DOGS & LARGE DOGS:
If you are planning to board more than just a couple weeks, ask us about our high activity 'TRAIL HAND' longer term stay discount program. Small dogs (34 pounds and less) are discounted to $15/night, medium dogs (35 pounds to 69 pounds) are discounted to $20/night, and large dogs (70 pounds or more) are discounted to $25/night . . . all three groupings receive our super high activity program as explained previously.

Von Asgard K-9 Center's beautiful, park-like, fenced grounds with several clean, sand bottom, protected ponds for water loving dogs.
A 'down-graded' boarding service is available at our 'DUDE RANCH' . . . our 'GREENHORN' reduced activity level boarding is provided for older, sedimentary, or disabled canine boarders!
When needed, you can choose our 'GREENHORN' reduced activity level boarding. We elminate the daily 20 minute, high activity, free-running, supervised outdoor play session of the 'COWBOY' program for selected small dogs, and all medium and large dogs. For the other small indoor dogs (34 pounds or less) we eliminate the 15 minute, high activity, supervised indoor play sessions after each 15 minute on-leash walk from the standard high activity the 'COWBOY' program. The 'GREENHORN' reduced activity level program is optional.
The reduced activity level 'GREENHORN' boarding fees are: $15/night for small dogs (34 pounds or under) and $20/night for medium dogs (35 pounds to 69 pounds) and $25/night for large dogs (70 pounds or more).
'CITY SLICKER' - LONGER TERM - REDUCED ACTIVITY BOARDING DISCOUNT FEES FOR SMALL, MEDIUM & LARGE DOGS:
If you plan to board more than a couple weeks, ask us about our reduced activity 'City Slicker' longer term stay discount program. Small dogs (34 pounds and less) are discounted to $12/night, medium dogs (35 pounds to 69 pounds)are discounted to $15/night and large dogs (70 pounds or more) are discounted to $18/night . . . all three groups with our reduced activity program as explained previously.

We provide all the food during your dogs stay. The food is not some grocery store economy brand, but seven varities of 'Diamond', a very high quality, super premium, naturally preserved (with vitamin E and citric acid) speciality feed. Diamond Pet Foods contain a proper balance of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids for optimum pet health. We spare no expense providing your dog with the finest canine diet.
At an added cost, we also have available an outstanding selection of B.A.R.F. raw food prepared diets for your dog (B.A.R.F. = Biologically Appropriate Raw Food).
If you prefer to supply you own food, we will gladly feed it to your dogs without any additional cost.
MEDICATIONS:
We do, however, charge a minimal $2 fee per occurance for administering medications and special suppliments. Note, we do not charge per medication but per occurance . . . that is, if three medications were administrationed once a day the charge would be only $2.
FEMALES IN "HEAT" CAN BE BOARDED:
If your female is in coming in "heat" or is in "standing heat" and is affecting male dogs in her proxsimity during her stay, Von Asgard will board her responsibily. However, we do add an additional $6/night to the daily boarding charge.
WE CAN BOARD DANGEROUS DOGS:
Because of our experience with police and military dogs, we do board dangerous & aggressive dogs that other kennels will not even consider. However, we do add an additional $6/night to the daily boarding charge. Von Asgard reserves the right to determine if a dog crosses the line from "difficult to handle" to downright "dangerous to handle".
PAYMENT:
At Von Asgard K-9 Center, we accept all major credit cards, as well as, personal checks. And, with three forms of identification (including one photo ID) we might also accept cash.

'DUDE RANCH' BOARDING RESERVATIONS:
At Von Asgard K-9 Center, we require a $45 non-returnable deposit to secure a reservation. We accept all major credit cards, as well as, personal checks. You can set up a reservation over the telephone using your credit card to handle the non-returnable deposit.
Just as you would when you check into a motel, we ask that you pay for your dog's boarding at check-in. Of course, we deduct your $45 deposit from the amount due at that time.
When you make a reservation, we will need you name. address, telephone and other pertinent information about your dog. We also require you set an appointment time to drop-off and an appointment time to pick-up your dog. Provided the appointment times are mutually agreeable, you can deliver or access your dog virtually 7 days a week, 24 hours a day . . . at no added cost.
