DIRECTIONS: Please call 941-322-0705 to make an appointment before you come. We are about 17 minutes east of I-75 on State Road 70. The easy way to locate Von Asgard K-9 Center, when you exit I-75 at Exit #217 East, is to note the odometer mileage and add 18 miles to that figure. Then leisurely drive EAST on State Road 70 until you reach that 18 mile mark. Then look down the road on the left hand (north) side for the six large 4' x 6', international flags flying along the roadway . . .



. . . three flying on each side of our 24 foot wide entrance gates. The colorful international flags are visible over 300 yards before you reach our drive. The actual address is: 35571 State Road 70 East. Remember to please call 941-322-0705 in advance for an appointment.

Von Asgard K-9 Center - Home of acclaimed European Dog Training!


Von Asgard K-9 Center offers a wide variety of specialized training programs that draw on a heritage of proven European training methods, such as, those taught in our 'K-9 Kindergarten' program.


Our "K-9 Kindergarten" private training and consultation program gets you and your new dog off on the right foot. Von Asgard's professionals help instill in you the necessary habits required to raise a "great family dog"!


Von Asgard's "K-9 Kindergarten" Program can assist you in achieving the following so your new dog will be a most pleasant family experience:

1.) Establish a correct feeding routine.
2.) Understand vaccinations & worming
3.) Develop successful housebreaking procedures.
4.) Teach the pup to love his special crate, as a child would love a "tree house".
5.) Systematically socialize the pup to various situations & people.
6.) Instill basic puppy good manors.
7.) Teach the pup to go up & down stairs.
8.) Train him to walk nicely on a leash.
9.) Teach the foundations of sit, down, & come.
10.) Provide you with an on-going professional resource to call whenever you need direction or just reassurance.


The "K-9 Kindergarten" Program consists of three private sessions for you and your pup scheduled at Von Asgard K-9 Center. In each private session you and your pup will be working one-on-one with a Von Asgard Certified "K-9 Kindergarten" Professional. The three sessions are flexible running from one to two hours each.


In the 'K-9 KINDERGARTEN' program, we discuss with you the psychology needed to achieve your goals, the underpinnings and exactly how you and your dog can successfully accomplish each phase. You will learn to set up a schedule (adapted from your family's actual schedule) that will be the basis of his/her housebreaking and also utilized in his training. We teach you how to handle the dog in each situation and physically work with you to master the handling techniques.


This unique program does not end when you have completed the three private sessions. For six months after completion of the three sessions, our "K-9 Kindergarten" professionals are available to you as an on-going certified resource whenever you need direction or just reassurance.


When you and you pup have graduated from the "K-9 Kindergarten" program, you WILL feel empowered and your pup will take pride in pleasing you with all he has learned.
