DIRECTIONS: Please call 941-322-0705 to make an appointment before you come. We are about 17 minutes east of I-75 on State Road 70. The easy way to locate Von Asgard K-9 Center, when you exit I-75 at Exit #217 EAST, is to note the odometer mileage and add 18 miles to that figure. Then leisurely drive EAST on State Road 70 until you reach that 18 mile mark. Then look down the road on the left hand (north) side for the six large 4' x 6', international flags flying along the roadway . . .



. . . three flying on each side of our 24 foot wide entrance gates. The colorful international flags are visible over 300 yards before you reach our drive. The actual address is: 35571 State Road 70 East. Remember to please call 941-322-0705 in advance for an appointment.

VON ASGARD's 'Behavior Ranch' - A RESIDENT PET DOG PROGRAM THAT ESTABLISHES CORRECT BAHAVIOR AND/OR MODIFIES INAPPROIATE BEHAVIOR TO AID YOUR DOG ASSIMILATION INTO FAMILY LIFE.



Von Asgard K-9 Center offers a wide variety of specialized training programs, one such offering is its Behaviour Modification, Problem Solving & Family Socialization program called 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH' . . . a canine program modeled after Florida's successful 'SHERIFF's RANCH' for out-of-control teenagers.



This is the entrance gate to our football field sized training field complete with stadium lighting.




The reccognized success of our 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH' problem solving program has greatly contributed to Von Asgard K-9 Center being named the premire pet dog training facility on Florida's gulf coast. Like our pet dog 'K-9 BOOT CAMP' obedience program, our 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH' problem solving program is like no other. It has been singled out for excelence and written-up in several dog publications. This unique program establishes correct behavior & modifies problem behavior. 'K-9 Behavior Ranch' is resident behavior modification program that teaches both the pet dog, as well as, his owner.


Our training 'conference room' consists of picnic tables fully shaded by the many oak trees surrounding our training facility.



The dog is trained at Von Asgard K-9 Center for a minimum of seven (7) full days and up to nine (9) days boarding is included. While at 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH', your dog receives all the 'DUDE RANCH' boarding features (see 'DUDE RANCH' boarding above), such as, 'Super-Sized' kennels, three on-leash hikes each day & etc. Each day five, or more, short 15 to 20 minute training sessions are scheduled. They are interspursed around the three on-leash hikes so that the dog is out of his kennel each hour, at least eight times-a-day. It truely is like sending a child off to a high-activity summer camp or to Marine Boot Camp.

By training five, or more, times a day for short periods of time, in the course of a seven day week we will have at least 35 training sessions with your dog while utilizing only his prime attention span. Successful training can quickly be accomplished with such a intensive, focused schedule. We use 'Motivation', 'Consistancy' and 'Repetition'. Most trainers 'teach' your dog to do something . . . We develop the 'habit' of him doing things correctly.


Although it sometimes takes longer than the minimum 7 day stay, when your dog is finally ready to graduate from 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH', we have you (and the others in your household) come in for a two hour training session. We discuss the psychology of each modification, the underpinnings and exactly how your dog accomplished these changes. We teach you how to handle the dog in each situation and physically work with you to master the handling techniques. We then show you just how well your dog is doing, by bring out your dog and, with us doing the handling, show you just how much he has accomplished.



Our football-sized training field complete with stadium lights for training in the cool of the evening.




Only then do we put you together with your dog and work with you and your dog until the two of you are communicating and he is responding appropriately.


We then teach you a five minute routine that you can do with your dog when you get home. This five minute routine, done four times a day for a short period at your home, will develop the habit of him responding correctly for you at your location.


Whatever basic equipment we utilized in his training, we send home with you so you can work with him exactly as we had.



Utilize 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH' to establish correct behavior and/or modify problem behavior . . . with up to nine (9) days of boarding included in the price, our 'K-9 Behavior Ranch' is very reasonable at $695.


While we cannot guarantee this program, Von Asgard K-9 Center's success rate with it's 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH' program has been very significant. This program does include our free 'K-9 BEHAVIOR RANCH' GRADUATE - Refresher Course' program each time you board your 'K-9 Behavior Ranch' graduate at Von Asgard K-9 Center. At no additional cost to you, we will refresh your dog on all the areas that we worked on during his stay at the 'K-9 Behavior Ranch'.
